Ruth R. Overmann, 79, of Lambertville, MI, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 after a short battle with cancer.  Born April 18, 1936, in Schollbrunn, Germany, she was the daughter of Hermann and Ida (Schork) Diemer.  She immigrated to the United States in her early teens. She married Karl T. Overmann on December 29, 1956.  He preceded her in death on February 9, 1999.  She was employed for the former Smith’s Cafeteria in Downtown Toledo for a few years.  Ruth Enjoyed listening to German, Polish and Country Music, taking walks, nature, gardening, caring for her chickens, but most of all, spending time with her loving family and friends.  She will be remembered for the special attention she gave to her grandchildren.  Her wish was granted by her passing peacefully in her home with her family and friend, Frieder by her side.

Ruth is survived by her loving children, Gretchen (James) Pittman, Ted (Annette) Overmann,  Gregg (Debbie) Overmann, Agnes (Dale) Brodbeck, Monika (Robert) Horner, and Karl (Kathy) Overmann; sisters, Maria (Hans) Mlaka and Irene (Bernhardt) Frauenschuh; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Hermann Diemer.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016, at 9:30 am.  Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
